About the Family

Family of four living in San Francisco’s Central / Outer Sunset looking for a warm, proactive part-time family assistant / nanny to help with afternoon household tasks and evening routines.

Both children attend daycare nearby. One parent often works from home, and this role is primarily about helping afternoons and evenings run smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping a household run smoothly like noticing what needs to be done and taking care of it without needing detailed instructions.

Schedule

Preferred Days: Wednesday & Thursday
Hours: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 12 hours/week

There may be occasional opportunities for additional hours depending on availability.

Typical Responsibilities

Afternoon Household Support

  • Laundry (wash, fold, put away)

  • Light household cleaning and organization

  • Meal prep

  • Preparing toddler meals or snacks (Bonus if you are comfortable making family’s dinner)

  • Cleaning bottles for daycare the following day

  • Occasional light errands

Daycare Pickup

  • Pick up children from nearby daycare

  • Drive family’s minivan with installed car seats

Evening Support

  • Keep toddler engaged

  • Infant care support

  • Help with bath and bedtime routine

  • Dishes and light kitchen reset

Parents are usually home during this time and often handle the final bedtime routine.

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience working with toddlers.

  • Comfortable with basic infant care (bottles, diaper changes, soothing).

  • Experience with house organization and cleaning.

  • Valid California driver’s license.

  • Confident driving children in San Francisco.

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Pass a background check.

  • Non-smoker.

Nice to Have

  • Mandarin speaking (children will attend Mandarin immersion school).

  • Strong household organization skills.

  • Advanced cooking abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $35–$42/hour depending on experience.

  • 12 guaranteed hours per week.

  • Optional travel opportunities (2-3 times a year). Trips usually last from a few days to one week. Travel compensation will typically include:

    • Normal hourly pay for working hours

    • Overtime pay when applicable

    • Overnight travel stipend

    • Private accommodations

    • Meals and travel expenses covered
