Both children attend daycare nearby. One parent often works from home, and this role is primarily about helping afternoons and evenings run smoothly. Ideal for someone who enjoys helping a household run smoothly — noticing what needs to be done and taking care of it without detailed instructions.

Typical Responsibilities

Afternoon Household Support

  • Light household cleaning and organization.
  • Meal prep; preparing toddler meals or snacks (family dinner a bonus).
  • Cleaning bottles for daycare the following day.
  • Occasional light errands.

Daycare Pickup

  • Pick up children from nearby daycare.
  • Drive family's minivan with installed car seats.

Evening Support

  • Keep toddler engaged.
  • Infant care support.
  • Help with bath and bedtime routine.
  • Dishes and light kitchen reset.

Parents are usually home during this time and often handle the final bedtime routine.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proactive and takes initiative.
  • Reliable and consistent.
  • Warm, communicative, engaging with children.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable multitasking household tasks.
  • Comfortable working alongside parents.

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience working with toddlers.
  • Comfortable with basic infant care.
  • Experience with house organization and cleaning.
  • Valid California driver's license; confident driving children in SF.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Non-smoker.

Nice to Have

  • Mandarin speaking (children will attend Mandarin immersion school).
  • Strong household organization skills.
  • Advanced cooking abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $35–$42/hour depending on experience.
  • 12 guaranteed hours per week.
  • Optional travel opportunities (2–3 times/year) with normal pay, OT, stipend, private accommodations, and expenses covered.
