About the Role
A warm and thoughtful San Francisco family is seeking a highly reliable morning nanny and family assistant to help their infant and toddler begin the day smoothly.
The nanny will support the children's morning routines, help prepare them for school and daycare, and assist with drop-offs. After the children are out of the home, the remaining shift time will be used for child-related organization, meal preparation, laundry, and resetting the household for the day.
The family needs care on three consistent weekdays selected from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The final days will be agreed upon with the selected candidate and will remain consistent from week to week.
Core Responsibilities
Morning Childcare
- Help both children get dressed and ready for the day.
- Prepare and serve a simple breakfast.
- Pack bottles, snacks, school bags, and other daily necessities.
- Support calm and timely transitions out of the home.
- Safely drive the children to school or daycare as needed.
- Provide warm, patient, and attentive care throughout the morning routine.
- Communicate important updates to the parents.
Family-Assistant Support
After drop-off or whenever childcare responsibilities allow:
- Clean up after breakfast and reset the kitchen.
- Wash and prepare bottles and children's dishes.
- Complete children's laundry, including folding and organizing.
- Prepare simple snacks, bottles, or food for later in the day.
- Organize children's belongings and supplies.
- Reset commonly used children's areas.
- Follow the family's existing household systems and labels.
The children's safety and immediate needs will always remain the first priority.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Have professional experience caring for toddlers and young children.
- Be comfortable providing basic infant care.
- Be exceptionally punctual, dependable, and organized.
- Remain calm and efficient during busy morning transitions.
- Be a safe and confident San Francisco driver.
- Communicate openly and professionally with the parents.
- Be warm, patient, emotionally attuned, and engaging with children.
- Take initiative and notice what needs to be done without constant direction.
- Be comfortable following established routines and parenting preferences.
- Support independence while maintaining kind and consistent boundaries.
- Be comfortable using shared lists, calendars, and childcare applications.
- Be pet-friendly and comfortable working in a home with a spaniel — no regular dog-care duties are required.
- Be a non-smoker and non-vaper.
- Live within a reliable commuting distance of Noe Valley.
- Hold current CPR and First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain it.
- Meet the family's vaccination requirements.
Mandarin language ability is appreciated but not required.

Position Details
- $35–$42 per hour, depending on experience.
- 9 guaranteed hours per week.
- Three consistent weekdays selected from Monday through Thursday.
- W-2 household employment.
- Live-out position.
- One-year commitment preferred.
- Long-term potential for the right candidate.
